Important Change Regarding Our Concerts at the Eisemann Center

The Eisemann now requires tickets for admission to all events. Our concerts are still free, but everyone will have to get a free ticket either by pre-registering online before the concert or going to the ticket office the day of the concert.

Registering Online

To register for your free ticket online, go to https://www.eisemanncenter.com/event/i/10720/d/richardson-community-band

You can either print these tickets at home or have the ticket on your phone and show it to the ushers when you arrive.

Reminder: you should not be charged at any point in this transaction. If there is a fee of any kind, contact the Eisemann Center.

Walk-Up Option

On the day of the concert go to the ticket office to get a free “walk-up” ticket without registering your information. Please make sure to arrive early to get your ticket before the concert begins.

 

If you are a center that brings a group to our concerts, please call the Eisemann (972.744.4650) to learn how to get a set of tickets for your members.

Children’s Concert, Dress up like your Favorite Disney Character!

The RCB presents the ultimate family adventure, experiencing a truly immersive Disney event with old and new classics, like Lilo and Stitch, How to Train your Dragon, and music from the Troll Movie!  The RCB famous children’s books will make another appearance, plus mini lightsabers for conducting.  Volunteer Nick will lead a parade around the church to show off costumes (big and little kids).   There’s also a new sing/move along in the works! There will even be some music education happening!  You won’t want to miss this now annual event that has quickly become a treasure for our community!!

Flute Cocktail

The RCB is kicking off our 20th Eisemann season with a renowned area artist that will dazzle you and melt your heart! Margaret Shin Fischer, possibly a superhuman, will explore all the facets of the glorious flute and piccolo for us mere mortals to admire.  The RCB will also be showing off with some “dazzle” of our own, from “La Procession du Rocio” to Tutti Fruitti, or for this concert Tutti Flutie!

The Great American Road Trip Part 1 East

The RCB is bringing in the new year with a musical road trip across our great country.  We’ll be starting on the east coast for this concert and working our way west.  There is so much grear music from our United States we are just making it to Texas for this first leg of the trip.  We will be featuring our own “Willie Nelson” singing “On the Road Again,” plus our own  composer/clarinet member, Jim Marshall’s piece called “A Road Less Traveled”.  Classics like ”Sweet Home Alabama”, plus concert band pieces like Frank Ticheli’s San Antonio Dances will bring out the wanderlust and pride for our great land!

Prepare for an all-out trombone party featuring one of Richardson’s own, Jacob Muzquiz, to lead the fun.  The Richardson Community is proud to claim him, and he will totally inspire and enthrall you with his remarkably artistic  trombone playing.  The RCB will also perform some extra trombone-friendly pieces to feed this trombone machine, like Lassus Trombone and of course 76 Trombones!  Be ready for some newer trombone gems as well!

Epic Soundtracks: From Comics to Consoles

Summer Vacation

That Good Ol’ Summertime

As we settle into the Texas summertime, the RCB offers a wonderful evening of inspiring music of vast variety.  Everyone can “get a slice” of musical pie, as we perform music from video games, like Pokemon Red and Blue March, to timeless folk songs like Shenandoah.  We’ll add a visit to the British Isles with “Three Ayres from Glouchester” and “Irish Washerwoman, “and even explore some classic rock from Chicago and Little Richard.  You can always count on a Sousa March to top it off!  You can soak in the music while relaxing in the shade of Huffhines Park!

To Grandmother’s House We Go

Who doesn’t love a summer road trip?  The RCB will fulfill your every need on this fun musical trip across our great land!  You can stop at Grandma’s, Uncles, Cousins, and even that Aunt you have been avoiding, ha ha!  We are bringing back our “Willie Nelsen” (David Alley) to sing “On the Road Again” to make everyone smile and get that wandering feeling  – who knows where you will end up going!  Our selections will give you many choices, like Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky, Kansas, and of course, good ol’ Texas!!  We’ll even visit Kansas for our Sousa March!  And to think, all this travel in your nice and “comfie” lawn chair at the shady Huffhines Park!
