From the RCB President

Dear RCB friends,

Thank you for being a friend of the Richardson Community Band.  We appreciate your support of our band.  Our mission is to provide high quality musical entertainment to the community as well as musical experiences to the members of the organization.

The Richardson Community Band was formed over 53 years ago. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we receive no compensation for our participation.  As a matter of fact we pay dues yearly and depend on grants from the City of Richardson as well as corporate and individual donations. Our supporters help us cover our expenses, which include costs for rehearsal space, concerts, music, insurance, storage facility, sound equipment and percussion instruments.  If you are a contributor, we thank you for your continuing support. Donations can now be made via PayPal and you can use your credit card to securely donate.  Your donations will help the band continue our mission of providing live musical entertainment to the Community.  The band is a 501C non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.

This coming season we have 15 concerts planned: four at the Eisemann Center of the Performing Arts, two at the Richardson Senior Center, Santa’s Village, the Richardson Family 4th of July Celebration at Breckenridge Park and six outdoor Summer Series concerts at Huffhines Park. This year we will have “A Children’s Disney Spectacular” at the First United Methodist Church – Richardson on September 24 at 4 PM.  Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite Disney character outfits. We invite you to attend all our concerts.  The concerts are always FREE and are family friendly.
