Thank you for your interest in the Richardson Community Band!
We’re always excited to connect with musicians who share our passion for performance and community. We’re happy to learn more about you and explore future opportunities to play together.
At this time, many of our sections are well-balanced. However, we’re always open to connecting with musicians who are passionate about playing and committed to contributing to a high-level ensemble. If you’re interested in learning more, we ask that you begin by sending us an email with your contact information, instrument, and a short description of your experience.

We do not have a formal audition process, but we do take care to ensure that any additions to the band support the overall musical balance and performance quality. Our Section Leaders play an important role in this process. After reviewing your information, we’ll reach out to discuss next steps—which may include an invitation to sit in on a couple of rehearsals to help you and us determine whether there is a good fit.
We’re proud to be one of the most active community ensembles in the metroplex, performing 15 concerts annually. RCB rehearses nearly every Wednesday evening (year-round) from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm at Westwood Junior High on Arapaho in Richardson. Our members are dedicated musicians who value both musical excellence and camaraderie.
We look forward to hearing from you—and hopefully making music together in the future!
If one of our sections is full, please check these links to other area community bands.
